4 ingredients that can create something delicious in under 4 minutes?
Whipped Greek Yogurt
I recently discovered this deliciousness and hope that you find this easy recipe as tantalizing as I did. I have never been a fan of yogurt but have enjoyed Greek Yogurt in a smoothie from time to time. I actually prefer the tartness of Greek Yogurt to the sweet taste of regular.
The main ingredients
- Greek Yogurt
- Heavy Whipping Cream
- Honey or Maple Syrup
- Vanilla
- (optional; pinch of salt)
Think of Whipped Cream but a bit healthier! Just about anything you would want whipping cream with you could use Whipped Greek Yogurt. Consider fresh fruit, granola, &/or graham crackers as add on’s to this deliciousness and depending on when you are eating it (although you may find yourself wanting it all the time!) A few more suggestions: Serve over pound cake, pancakes, or even French toast.
All you need to make this concoction is a good hand mixer or ideally, a stand mixer, the ingredients, and about 4 minutes! Here are some tips that I have discovered as well.
Stacy’s Tips:
Look for yogurt that contains only milk and active cultures. And stick to yogurts that are strained vs thickened with gum, gelatin or pectin. Unstrained yogurts will not whip as light or thick. I prefer Fage! You also want to make sure to use 2% or whole Greek yogurt.
Need a substitution for the dairy? Use coconut cream instead. You know the thick part at the top of a can of coconut milk? That has enough fat in it to also be useful for this recipe. Substituting the same amount of coconut cream for the whipping cream works very well. The consistency ends up about the same as when using whipping cream, however, there’s a slight coconut taste from the coconut cream. This is an option if you don’t have whipping cream.
You can avoid the whipping cream or coconut milk altogether, but why, haha. That sort of defeats the purpose of the whipped part and you definitely wont have it be as creamy or thick.
Okay, now the best part… the RECIPE!

Hopefully, I have just inspired you to have a new breakfast, snack, or dessert option that is healthy, provides a boost of protein, and is homemade and fresh. Now, time to think outside of the box. I did a quick search online and there are interesting combinations out there such as Peppermint Chocolate Greek Yogurt, Apple Cinnamon Greek Yogurt just to name a couple. What other combinations could you make with this Whipped Greek Yogurt base? Tell us in the comments if you try it as is or another combination.
