Dr. Amy Ellsworth (yes, I finished my PhD!)
I grew up in Las Vegas but I have lots of extended family through this neck of the woods. It was a logical place to come after graduating high school.
Vegas is just way too hot.
My WHY – Why do I do what you do? Well to help others.
My favorite Color is Bluish Green or is it Greenish blue?
My favorite Meal is Lobster – with lots of butter….
Favorite Vacation spot (before or after COVID) is England. Anywhere in England.
Favorite movie or movie star is “Something the Lord made” – it’s about the process of discovering the procedure by which the first heart surgeries could be performed on babies with cyanotic, congenital heart problems.
I have been to a total of 1 BYU football game and 1 University of Utah football game, in the whole of my education at both institutions. Translation: Nobody has ever explained the rules of football to me well enough that I can enjoy watching it. I wouldn’t say I am a fan of any particular team. I can find entertainment in watching hockey or tennis, however. When the Olympics come around, I do enjoy watching the Ice Dancers. Their routines are more creative than the pairs skating.
Favorite outdoor activities are biking, hiking, skiing, and gardening. Biking but the air quality is too poor in Utah sometimes for me to do that here.
Sailing tall ships – I don’t see an ocean or Great Lake anywhere around here, so I have to have moved out of student poverty to get back to this, at all.
Yoga – I can’t do this at the level I used to enjoy due to some health issues.
Walking – My ankle is again good enough for this and when the air quality is good enough, this is very relaxing.
As a patient of DETS you can I count on me to have INTEGRITY – I keep my word. I obey all rules I know about.
